Shakespearean Sonnet

The shadows of reality, is our own sight
Betrays us and keeps us imprisoned in our minds
We are bound by chains but yet we refuse to fight
For we resist to look for the truth in the signs

The cave so dark, yet it is our only haven
For we are blind for not seeing past the shadows
To individualism, we have forsaken
For we are not different from herds of cattle

We are destined for greatness, to learn on our own
We could not be limited to ones own beliefs
Free to choose what skills we see important to hone
We could live our lives and breath a sigh of relief

Yet we are manipulated by the elite
So never can our quest for knowledge be complete
