Expository Composition

This year has been a ride that’s the truth. I started not knowing what skills I possessed or what I wanted to do after this year was done. I still don’t know what to do but now I know I have some skills that I can use to help find my way. Seeing what the others have done some what inspires me. Even though I’m sure I haven’t improve that much this year due to certain events, the atmosphere in the class however helps to build the connections to propel you forward in your passion
For many times during the year , we were given misplaced trust on even the simplest of tasks. But even though a lot of us took advantage of that trust. Some of us actually didn’t abuse it and were very dependable. The few like Shane who comment on any topic without fear of sounding like he had no idea what he was saying, and the others like Gabby Veronica, and Tianna. They all seem to always doing what was on topic and produce the best work out of the class.
A passion I reconnected with is the making of instrumentals. Even though it is a slow frustrating process and the end result might not be that satisfying. I love the challenge

of putting what you hear inside your mind out to the world and see if it’s as good as you thought it was. I do want to continue it but I might now have the time anymore, also I need money to buy the right equipment if I’m ever taking it to the next level and actually produce quality songs. Sadley one thing I haven’t been able to reconnect with is poetry. After last semester I haven’t found it in me to create more. I have lost my heart for it so to speak. Sure I make random lines from time to time but I haven’t made anything close to I am a fireman or Ode to the great quality.
Throughout the presentations, a common theme was present on them, it was looking what was underneath. Dustin Mcdonald showed us a clip of him longboarding. In which turned out to be shots of places that has meaning to him also to give us some advice on life. Longboarding can make you forget about everything and causes to have to think ahead to avoid dangers. Just like life in which you need to learn to relax and think about what’s ahead so you can live without any worries. Veronica showed us the “ugly side” of professional singing in her presentation in the music buisness. She showcast ten different voices of increasing vocal talent to end up showing their faces at the end. What was surprising was that the least talented of the group was the highest on the charts based on looks alone. She showed us that being successful in singing is not only about being talented anymore. Daniel Alverez showed us the inside of the restaurant business. How it is not only about the chefs in there. A restaurant needs dishwashers to keep clean dishes for the costumers. Keep ingredients stocked. To keep the entire place clean and safe. Then the chefs come in to serve the people their creations. Jacob C. showed us the other half of body building. He showed us that the body is a machine and it need the right foods to perform at the maximum level. THe dedication one must have to do this is important, and the benefits to ones self esteem and health is worth the troubles. Jacob showed us that bodybuilding is really ten percent lifting weights and the rest is from diet to creating a mindset. Xavier and Robert shows us the two sides of a business. The front man and the person behind the creations. What was really the center of the presentation was Robert’s street art and his motto “A.I.R”. He showed us how influential street art is on society and that is apparent on what shirts you see around campus.
With alot of students having mentors being their family to co workers, But sadly for me I was not able to reach mine. Even though we have not talk I take inspiration from him, his music to me is great and he does two things at once. He runs a music channel as well as a gaming channel on youtube so his work is always being seen. The one challenge that is still going on in finishing the collab song but that might be a while. All in all my experience with the masterpiece academy has push me farther than ever before.
